Custom Bamboo Combs with Natural Finishes
Develop a bamboo comb by setting the grain and tone range, tooth geometry, sanding standard, surface finish, engraving reference and paper-pack direction.
- Material: Selected bamboo with a natural, oil or clear finish
- Size: 90–230 mm or custom dimensions
- Color: Natural bamboo, approved stain or coating
- Logo: Laser engraving or branded packaging
- Packaging: Paper sleeves, pouches, kraft boxes or gift boxes
Bamboo comb projects can start at 50 pcs. Typical timing is about 15 days for a sample and about 28 days for production after sample approval; profile, finish, engraving, packaging and quantity can affect the confirmed schedule.

Approve the Bamboo Surface Before Artwork
Bamboo grain, nodes and tone can remain visible after finishing. Set an acceptable material range and surface reference before judging logo contrast or printed-pack color.
Three Bamboo-Specific Approvals
Use one finished sample to connect the natural material with the product drawing.
Bamboo Is a Material Range, Not a Flat Color
Natural variation should be written into the approval reference instead of treated as a later defect discussion.
- Visible grain & nodes
Use reference pieces to show the preferred appearance and the range that can be accepted. - Tone variation
Review the selected finish because natural, oil and clear directions can change the visible tone. - Material record
Confirm the bamboo reference, finish and any sourcing or market documents required for the order.
Check Tooth Tips After Sanding
Typical length is 90–230 mm, or the overall profile and tooth layout can be developed from a dimensioned drawing.
- Comb outline
Mark length, width, thickness, handle shape and edge profile. - Tooth layout
Record spacing, tooth length, fine or wide zones and the required tip shape. - Finished sample
Check dimensions, straightness, tooth spacing, burrs, edges and tip smoothness after sanding and finishing.
Finish Changes Tone and Engraving Contrast
Do not approve the color direction separately from the surface and logo sample.
- Natural direction
Keep the visible bamboo character and define the acceptable tone range. - Oil, clear finish or stain
Confirm the exact project direction on a physical finished piece. - Combined approval
Review tone, sheen and engraving contrast on the same sample under consistent lighting.
Use a Sample to Set Engraving Contrast
The natural surface influences how dark and even an engraved mark appears.
- Engraving test
Approve the final size and position on the selected bamboo and finish rather than on a digital mock-up alone. - Printed pack
Move detailed color artwork, instructions or a barcode to the sleeve, pouch or box when needed. - Artwork control
Supply vector artwork with dimensions, orientation and the required printed colors.
Fit the Paper Pack to the Finished Profile
Confirm the pack after tooth finishing and engraving so contact points and artwork position can be reviewed together.
- Paper sleeve
Check fit around the comb outline and reserve space for required product information. - Pouch or kraft box
Confirm internal clearance, inserts and the orientation of the engraved face. - Carton data
Record seals, labels, unit count, carton quantity, shipping marks and destination.
